Life Lift 101 Online Course

I heard an administrator once say to a group of faculty:

“At the end of your teaching career do you want to have had one year of teaching experience for thirty years?
Or would you rather have had thirty years of teaching experience?Image

In my thirty-four years of teaching, coaching, educating and counseling, no moment was ever the same, and now here I am with a new, exciting program based on the research of Dr. Martin E.P. Seligman, often called the father of positive psychology.

THIS COURSE IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

The course’s purpose is to increase happiness, a proven means to live longer. Think of this stunning fact. Happy people on the average live 9.4 years longer!

Genuine, basic, down-to-earth, real-life happiness comes from a blend of pleasure, engagement and meaning. Research now is focusing on positive emotions, how they benefit you, and help you achieve the full life, with a balance of pleasure, plenty of good engagement and meaningful purposes in positive institutions.
That is what participants in my program will experience.

Life Lift 101 consists of twelve teleconference sessions with a small group of people all interested in raising their happiness level. Once a week you, as a member of the group, will receive important information about positive psychology, ways to increase your happiness and have discussions about your experiences. There will be some assignments available to help reach the goal of increased happiness and to monitor your happiness progress.

There will also be assignments available where you can find out about your strengths, level of happiness and particularly your Signature Strengths. These are the ones that make your heart sing, bring you joy, or maybe a pleasant smile. The more you use them the happier you become.
