In the aftermath of Katrina and the devestation to lives, property and livelihoods, it is wise for each one of us to assess our own balance of needs.
One way to look at your life balance is to think in terms of ten pillars and rate yourself as to how satisfied you are in each area. Consider Profession, Financial, Physical, Spiritual, Social Support, Intimacy, Family, Learning and growth, Home/Office and Play/Fun. A score of ten is tops, one is low and five is average.* If satisfied in any area, don't worry about working to change there.Concentrate on the value to you of change in the low ones.The happiness you will find in a balanced life will help you through tragedy. If, however you have symptoms that cause too much stress, don't hesitate to seek the help of a professional from your Church, the APA(American Psychological Association), the AAMFT(American Association For Marriage and Family), or MentorCoachLLC. *copyright 2004-2005 MentorCoachLLC. {moscomment}
