To get right to the heart of the matter, the most meaningful joy in education is the relationship that nurtures the cherished values of a person. The greatest gift any educational institution, public or private, can provide is a learning campus, virtual or real, where all can experience enjoyable human relationships. There the challenges, pressures, differences in others, goals, achievements, failures all meet. It is the teacher who makes the biggest difference toward growth in all this. In later years, what will be the most memorable, most admired, most talked about achievement for those whose education was meaningful?
The teacher who reached the heart. The friend who cared. The person who made your smile genuine. The alumni who helped you look forward to going to college. Those are joys along with the learning of academics, arts, and athletics that make the truly educated person a blessing to be around. Money, time and effort are not wasted in providing this joy in education toward a meaningful life.
